The Microbiology Department has been established at Göttingen for over 50 years and is directly involved in pharmaceutical production. Each year the department provides microbiology testing and hygiene monitoring services to more than 30 customers. In 2010 a significant investment was made in expanding the facilities, including the addition of 5 new laboratory rooms equipped with state-of-the-art air handling, laminar-flow benches and temperature-controlled incubators. The department is compliant with GMP and all microbiological tests are performed and validated according to the European Pharmacopoeia. The department offers a comprehensive range of services in microbiology and hygiene including GMPcompliant environmental monitoring, hygiene training courses at our customers’ facilities and compilation of bespoke hygiene plans.
