Hormones

Our FDA inspected site at Waltrop, north of Dortmund, produces oral contraceptives, thyroid gland hormones as well as oral and semi-solid corticosteroids. Due to its past as a former Organon plant, this site offers major expertise in this product segment.

Production

A production unit for solid dosage forms was built in middle of 2005. Provision has been made for the manufacture of three classes of hormonal substances - sexual hormones, corticosteroids and thyroid gland hormones. This area is currently being extended for semi-solid forms.

Packaging

Our packaging facility provides specialised blistering and filling into bottles of tablets, hard-capsules and soft-capsules containing sexual hormones.

Both hormone production and hormone packaging are operated in specialist contained areas, with separated personnel and material lockers and separate air conditioning systems.
