NextPharma strengthens its technology base through acquisition of Limay plant from UCB Pharma

NextPharma Technologies (Holding) Limited announces that it has singed a definitive agreement under which NextPharma will acquire UCB´s pharmaceutical plant in Limay in France, together with the benefit of a five year supply contract.
The plant at Limay has received the benefit of substantial investment over recent years resulting in a high level of automation and strong quality systems. The plant has capabilities in liquids, sprays and suppositories and currently has available capacities. The site also has the benefit of a fully automated high rack warehouse.
Bill Wedlake, Chief Executive of NextPharma Technologies, said:

The acquisition of this plant in Limary brings to NextPharma new technologies and will allow our company to meet growing demand from our customers from these product forms.” He added “Not only will this plant add significantly to our manufacturing capabilities, but the addition of the high rack warehouse will allow us to expand our pharmaceutical pre-wholesaling business the French market.”
