NextPharma Technologies Board appoints Richard Milbank as Chief Financial Officer

NextPharma Technologies - a leading provider of product development and manufacturing outsourcing services to the biotech and pharmaceutical industry, has appointed Richard Milbank as its Chief Financial Officer.
Richard was appointed as Executive Vice President - Chief Financial Officer with effect from 1st April 2006 having joined NextPharma in February 2004 as Senior Vice President Finance & Corporate Controller. He has considerable experience in process manufacturing gained over nine years, as the Financial Director of Huntsman Packaging and Key Country Foods Limited. Richard is a Chartered Accountant by background and has worked in the accountancy profession for nine years with Arthur Andersen and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

NextPharma Technologies Executive Vice President Dr. Hermann Osterwald is appointed to the Board of APV

NextPharma Technologies - a leading provider of product development and manufacturing outsourcing services to the biotech and pharmaceutical industry, is delighted to report that Dr Hermann Osterwald has been appointed as the treasurer of the International Association for Pharmaceutical Technology (APV) at a ceremony at the 5th World Meeting On Pharmaceutics Biopharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology – in Geneva on 28th March 2006.
Dr. Hermann Osterwald who has been a member of APV since 1977 has gained considerable experience in a variety of senior roles within the Pharmaceutical industry dating back to 1981. He became a managing director for subsidiaries of the GEHE group in 1992. In 1998 he became Managing Partner of allphamed PHARBIL Arzneimittel GmbH in Göttingen and in 2000 he was appointed as Managing Director of Pharbil Industries GmbH (now NextPharma GmbH). Most recently Dr. Osterwald became the Executive Vice President Operations of NextPharma Technologies in 2003.

NextPharma Technologies Establishes New Development Centre in Braine l’Alleud - Brussels

NextPharma Technologies - a leading provider of product development and manufacturing outsourcing services to the biotech and pharmaceutical industry is delighted to report the establishment of a new Development Centre for sterile product dosage forms at its Braine l’Alleud site near Brussels, Belgium.
The facility will be operational in mid 2007 and will provide a comprehensive service for early phase development of sterile dosage forms for Cytostatic, Biologics, other conventional drugs and diluents in a wide range of drug delivery forms including - pre-filled syringes, cartridges, vials, ampoules and assembly of kits. All clinical materials will be manufactured and supplied in accordance with the requirements of US FDA, EMEA and other regulatory
agencies. The facility’s analytical laboratories will also provide a full range of biological and small molecular drug testing and conduct stability programmes according to ICH guidelines.
