NextPharma Senior Appointments

NextPharma the leading European provider of drug development and manufacturing outsourcing services to the pharmaceutical industry has made the following recent appointments to its senior management team:
Karen Stoddart has joined NextPharma as SVP Quality. Ms. Stoddart is a qualified pharmacist and has significant experience in Quality Assurance, Manufacturing and Development gained at Glaxo, Chiroscience and Mallinckrodt. She has worked in the US and Europe and has experience of global regulatory compliance in Japan. Most recently she led the Quality Strategy function at UCB Celltech.
Monika Osterwald has been appointed as VP Supply Chain Management.
Mrs. Osterwald is a qualified pharmacist and joined the NextPharma group in 1990. In addition to her extensive logistics experience she has also established and led Sales and Marketing for the German group. In addition to her new role Mrs. Osterwald will continue to be responsible for the Group Purchasing function.
Maureen Roberts has joined NextPharma as VP HR and Communications. Mrs. Roberts qualified as a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development in 1985 and has gained considerable experience from a variety of HR and Communications roles in the public and private sectors, including the National Health Service and the Pharmaceutical and Finance industries. Most recently she led global Internal Communications for Amersham Health.
All three appointees will report directly to Bill Wedlake, CEO, NextPharma Technologies, who commented as follows:
